What is Neem and How to Use It

Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a natural herb that grow mostly in the tropical regions. It is naturally occurring antiseptic, antioxidant, and immune-boosting herb. 

Benefits of Neem Leaf

  • Immunity: Used as a tea or supplement to boost immunity and detoxification.
  • Skincare: Neem leaves’ anti-septic properties that can be used to treat acne, fungal infections.
  • Insecticide: Neem oil is a great mosquito and insect repellent.
  • Digestive: It prevents gastrointestinal diseases. 
  • Oral health: The stems of neem leaves are also used as a toothbrush to fight gum infections. 
  • Balance and Restoration: It has cooling effect on the body and hence reduce skin blemishes. 
  • Purifying the blood: Neem helps in purifying and cleansing the blood.

How to Use Neem

  • Oil: The oil form of neem as an essential oil is used to spray on plants to protect them against insects and mosquitoes.
  • Tea: Neem can be consumed by boiling neem leaves in hot water. 
  • Face-wash: Neem oil can be added to your face wash.
  • Chew sticks: Neem sticks are used as a toothbrush in Ayurvedic medicine which fights gum diseases. 
  • Leaf powder: Neem leaf powder is used as a blood cleanser and detoxification agent.
