There is a never-ending list of perimenopausal symptoms but one of the most irritating ones is pain in the joints. Joint pains are common in women approaching perimenopausal period. Joints usually hurt in the morning when they are stiff and they relax towards the end of the day. Joints that are most frequently affected during menopause are the neck, jaw, shoulders, wrists, and elbows. There are various massaging techniques which could be followed to reduce the pain in the joints due to perimenopausal symptoms and some natural remedies discussed below:

Aromatherapy

Massage is an effective way to get rid of pain in the joints like palms, wrists, knees, back, etc. Aromatherapy uses therapeutic oils for massaging which are extracted from medicinal plants which is a natural way to heal joint pain. Massage should be done in some duration of time.

Reflexology

Reflexology is also a great way to help in relaxing joints and reduce stress. In this procedure areas corresponding to the organs of the body are massaged on the foot to bring relaxation.

Menthol Patches

There are various pain patches available in the market which are beneficial as they release menthol which keeps the joint pain free throughout the day. This is helpful especially if you do not want to apply pain balms or oils due to a busy lifestyle.
