This is the stage in a woman’s life that is comprised of the years prior to menopause. This can start as early as age 30 and generally tends to last approximately 10-15 years. As the hormone levels in the body (estrogen and progesterone) begin to fluctuate, you will begin to see changes in your body and mood. Originally, the changes tend to be less noticeable.
With time, you’ll begin to see changes in your menstrual cycle, mood changes, changes with sex, and an association with other health conditions. All of these changes occur on a continuum until menopause finally occurs.
